Water testing is a requirement of non-municipal water systems (wells and cisterns) serving the public and is strictly regulated in Ontario (O Reg. 319/08 & O Reg. 170/03).
As an owner or operator of a small drinking water system, it is your responsibility to ensure that your water supply is safe for consumption. Preventing contamination while ensuring compliance with Ontario Drinking Water regulations requires a certified trained person with expertise in microbiological contaminants ( i.e. Total Coliform and E-coli).
